Luminox is a Swiss watchmaking brand which has made watches for various
military group such as the US Air Force, US Coast Guard, and most
famously of all the US Navy SEALs, among others. As a supplier of military watches, Luminox timepieces are designed to handle all sorts of tough, and inclement environments.
This sports watch features a lightweight, yet durable carbon reinforced plastic case. The case has a perfect sized diameter of 43mm that stands tall with 13mm thickness. This case is armed with a rotating unidirectional diver bezel. The bezel featuresa white toned indexes along with Arabic numerals at every 10 minute interval; with the exception of the pearl at 12 o'clock.
Moreover, this watch sports a textured double-security gasket crown for
easier handling for the adjustment of the date and time. The black rubber strap of the watch is composed of silicone which ensures extended durability, even if damp conditions. The strap is secured with a stainless steel pin buckle clasp. This watch comes equipped with a water resistance rating of up to 100 meters.
Luminox 0201.SL from the Land Sentry collection features an
easy-to-read black dial which is covered with a specially hardened K1
mineral crystal. The dial carries large Arabic numerals and indices, as well as, partially skeletonized, white hands.
Both the hands and the index hour markers feature the 'Always Visible'
technology that Luminox watches have become so well known for. This feature has made Luminox a natural choice for the military and other law enforcement agencies. This superior illumination is made possible by using boro-silicate tubes, which are filled with tritium gas. 'Always Visible' technology continually glows and only becomes noticeable when the quality of light drops. Completing the dial is a small date window placed between 4 o'clock and 5 o'clock.
